Learning Objective: -Today students will learn about the first "Government" of the United States, The Articles of Confederation. As a class we will discuss the foundations of the articles and its strengths and weaknesses. Students will also finish their "Two Treatises of Government Primary Source Assignment" found on google classroom. Warm Up: -According to the “Two Treatises of Government”, who should hold power in a society? Assessment: -Students will be assessed on their submission of their "Two Treatises of Government Primary Source Assignment". Students grades will be based on the 8th Grade US History Rubric. Students will also develop their technology skills by creating a comic strip in pixton about creating their own territory/new state. Warm Up: -What were two characteristics of the Articles of Confederation that we learned about yesterday in class? Assessment: -Students will be assessed on their "Creating Your Own Territory" in pixton based on the 8th Grade US History Rubric. The assignment is posted on google classroom.
